This interview of Dr. van der Kolk by Krista Tippett on her radio show, On Being, focuses on his work exploring how trauma is physically, neurologically, and psychologically embedded, and the implications of that for treatment, including the usefulness of such practices as Yoga and various types of body work, and the social response to the traumatized. There’s a lot here to think about.
